Los Angeles–based esports organization 100 Thieves has announced that it has signed the 31-year-old Norwegian rifler, rain.
The Norwegian rifler has found himself a new destination after ten years. Having recently parted ways with FaZe and been benched following jcobbb’s arrival, rain will now become one of the core players of 100 Thieves as the organization reinvests in CS2.
100 Thieves had signaled in recent weeks that it would re-enter Counter-Strike 2. According to OverDrive’s sources and statements, the American organization was expected to acquire the core of GamerLegion. Shortly after, however, the GL CEO stated that no such discussions had taken place.
rain is leaving FaZe after nearly ten years, having joined the team back in January 2016. During his decade with FaZe, he made the HLTV Top 20 rankings three times and won one Major trophy. In addition, he secured four LAN MVP awards.
