A controversial breakup news came from Unknownpros Wild Rift team. In the statement of the team, the team has published a long explanation. In it, they said that the players who left did not sign the contract given to them. They also postponed doing it by constantly making excuses.
As an organization that has been sensitive to player rights since the first day of its establishment, we feel deeply saddened by the situation we will share. Erkan “Nexus” Yontar and Efe “Nyrone” Seymen, who are in our League of Legends: Wild Rift squad, have delayed the signing phase of our players by putting forward certain excuses and reasons for signing contracts since the first day they arrived.
As the Unknownpros Team, we understood this delay as a sign of goodwill. We also provided financial and moral support to our relevant players. At this point, we have stated that the players were free to leave according to their own will as it was reasonable given the circumstances. They could also look for a team as well. Unfortunately the players decided to leave and were far from professional discipline and frivolous. They made a statement of “We don’t have a contract anyway, we’re leaving.” to our club that was open to helping them on every field.
As a club, we parted ways by stating that we would openly share their indiscipline and opportunistic behavior. Although we as a club think these are the matters that should not be shared. But we had to make this statement in order to make the player profile known to other clubs.
The mistake our club made was simply to say “Yes, you can sign the contract later.” We would like to point out that this was a big mistake. We will act more carefully in the future. We wish the players success in their future careers.

Team players Erkan “Nexus” Yontar and Efe “Nyrone” Seymen made a statement after these statements. They stated that due to their age, they had to sign these contracts with their families and that they were disrupted due to the intense tournament and match intensity. The statements of the players are below:
Before I start my statement, I would like to state that the reason I left Unknownpros was not because I made a deal with any club. But because the conflict within the team that has been going on since my arrival. It could not be resolved and we could not achieve success.
As for not signing a contract; at the bootcamp, the club gave us the necessary documents. But since I was under 18, I had to have my parents sign these documents. So I took the papers with me. After this process, I did not consider it that important, as this issue was not discussed.
After the disappointment we experienced in the Origin Series, I stated that I wanted to leave the team. The reason for that was because I wanted to chart a different path for myself. When I said this, the management told me that I would stay in the bench. Or go with my compensation to another team until a replacement has been found although I didn’t have any contract.
There were many ongoing problems in the team. But I still did not want to let the team down because of my trust and respect for the management. When I said that I wanted to leave the team, while the team was in the negotiation phase they said: If anyone wants to leave, we will provide all the convenience. I trusted them. I admit that Unknownpros really did its best for me. But I can say that I did my best for Unknownpros too.
I wish I had been given the convenience as already promised when I said I wanted to leave the team and the club’s stance against us had not deteriorated until the last moment.
I still thank Unknownpros for everything

This is the first time I have encountered such an ugly situation since I entered the esports industry. I would like to talk about the accusations made against me. Get down to the undisclosed parts of the case, and explain how we were threatened. First of all, when I left the bootcamp, I was told that I would go home with my contract. After I review it with my family I would send it back if they agreed.
The main reason why I didn’t sign the contract and could not send it was that I couldn’t spare any time during the day. I worked very hard for the tournament individually and with the team. One week before the tournament, the team manager said “if you don’t send the contract, we can’t pay your wage.”
Since they could not find a Jungle player, they asked me to play in the tournament, so I accepted. After the end of the tournament, my thoughts did not change, I still wanted to leave the team and I discussed this situation with my team. After the talks, we made our decision about leaving, and it became clear that I would leave the team.
They said that they wanted to send me to a different team with my compensation fee, even though I did not have a contract and the team did not have any legal rights over me. While it was said that I was opportunistic in their statements, the team decided to take advantage of the opportunity and send a player who did not have a contract to another team with a compensation fee.
In this case, I left the team by stating that they had no legal rights over me and that such a thing was not possible. I condemn Unknownpros for statements such as “Opportunistic, Undisciplined” that are publicly accused of me. I wish Unknownpros team success in their career.

It is obvious that both Unknownpros side and the players have their own reasons. But if you want to do something professionally, the priority should not be to delay the paperwork. After the events, it was a matter of curiosity how Unknownpros’ Wild Rift team, which separated its ways with its two players, would progress.
