Aurora Advances to the Playoffs at PGL Masters Bucharest 2025!

Our representative Aurora has secured a spot in the playoffs at PGL Masters Bucharest 2025 after defeating Astralis 2-1 in the 2:2 stage.

Aurora triumphed over Astralis, who were missing dev1ce, with a 2-1 victory to qualify for the playoffs. In his absence, coach ruggah stepped in to play for Astralis, but the 37-year-old Dane failed to make an impact, which increased Aurora’s chances of advancing.

dev1ce was sidelined due to food poisoning and couldn’t play against Aurora. The issue was announced shortly before the match by both PGL and Astralis. dev1ce later released a statement during the match to update fans about his condition.

Just to clarify I’m having a food poisoning and drove to the studio with the team but I haven’t stopped vomiting yet. Vamos ruggah and thanks to the medical professionals who are here at PGL providing all tools to recover quickly

Aurora Struggled Against Astralis Without dev1ce!

The series began on Nuke, where Aurora failed to perform as expected. Despite missing a key player, Astralis dominated the map and crushed Aurora on the CT side. Magisk’s incredible performance carried Astralis to victory, with the team showing great morale and energy throughout the match.

The second map, Train, turned out to be a lucky one for our representative. Although Aurora fell behind 5-0 early on, they managed to recover and ended the first half 5-7. On the CT side, Wicadia’s outstanding play sparked a comeback as Aurora only dropped one round, closing the map 13-8. Wicadia finished with a 1.86 rating, keeping his team alive in the series.

The decider, Mirage, had fans worried since Aurora has historically struggled on the map. Despite losing the pistol round, the team managed to stay composed. Although their CT side wasn’t as strong as hoped, Aurora kept things even and carried momentum into the T side. Maintaining control, Aurora nearly lost grip toward the end but managed to close it out. woxic’s deadly AWP and XANTARES’s smart plays sealed the victory. woxic finished with a 1.66 rating, while XANTARES posted a 1.40 rating.

Aurora’s first playoff opponent will be B8. The match is scheduled for Friday, October 31, at 11:00 AM.
