BLAST Spike Nations Champion is Eastern Europe!

Eastern Europe became the champion of the BLAST Spike Nations, which was jointly organized by Twitch and Riot Games. The event included 12 teams and started on October 7th.

Štěpán “Ambi” Beránek was the most notable player of the Eastern European team. The player finished the tournament with 1.99 K/D. Ambi’s most preferred agents were Jett, Skye and Sova.

Magnum, another player in the Eastern European team, helped the team on the way to the championship with 1.86 K/D.

The Eastern Europe’s roster was as follows:

  • Ambi
  • Magnum

The group stage of the tournament consisted of 3 groups with 4 teams. Top 2 rankings teams of each group advanced to the Playoff stage. The games in the groups were played over a single match.

In the Playoff stage, the quarter-finals were played over a single match. But the semi-final and grand final matches were in the form of (Bo3).

The Pathway to the BLAST Spike Nations Final

The Eastern European team started the BLAST Spike Nations tournament in group A. And finished as leader with 3 wins and 1 loss. The team won over Spain in the quarterfinals. Then they matched Italy in the semi-finals.

Defeating Italy with a score of 2-1 in the 5-match series, Eastern Europe made its mark in the grand finals. On the day of the grand final, their opponent was the CIS team from group A.

In the first match of the grand final, the map was Ascent. Eastern Europe won it with a score of 13-6. But on the Bind map, things went wrong and the CIS team came on top. Thus, they managed to equalize the situation in the series. Everything was up to the last game played on Icebox. Eastern Europe won the final map with a score of 13-4 and became the champion.

Eastern Europe rejoiced at the end of the event. From this tournament organized for charities, 60,000 dollars were donated.
