Cloud9 defeated the Danish squad Astralis 2-1 by coming back and becoming the champion of the Brazy Party 2023.
Starting to the tournament in Group D, Cloud9 advanced to the quarterfinals by defeating Sprout and 9INE with 2-1. After easily winning the match against paiN with a score of 2-1, Cloud9 faced the OG team in the semifinals. The team lost the first map Inferno 19-17 in overtime, won the second map Overpass with a score of 16-11 and moved the match to the last map Ancient. On the highly contested map, the Cloud9 team won the match 19-16 in overtime and signed its name to the final.
The other finalist of the tournament came from Group C. The third match was the last chance for Astralis, who received 1W 1L in its group. They beat the GamerLegion team 2-0 to finish second in their group below SAW and advanced to the quarterfinals. Things got a little difficult for the Danish team, who faced the Apex team in the quarterfinals. The team that won the first map, Mirage, 19-17 in overtime, lost the second map Overpass 16-12. Even if the match went to overtime again in the last map Ancient, Astralis won 19-16 to advance to the semifinals. They defeated the 9INE team 2-0 in the semi-finals and became the opponent of the Cloud9 team in the grand final.
