RpK, the 32-year-old veteran of CS:GO scene, has finally retired. The French player, who has served in the big teams for quite a long time, made the announcement on his Twitter account.
Cédric “RpK” Guipouy, 32, known by the nickname “Le Tank”, announced his retirement. The professional player played Counter-Strike games since 2006.
RpK, who was known as the best player in the Counter-Strike: Source, carried the “VeryGames” team to the top during those times. The French player, who then switched to Global Offensive, announced his first retirement in 2012.
The 32-year-old RpK’s return to the professional scene was in 2015 with TITAN. Pro player KQLY’s VAC ban was another thing that triggered RpK. He later played in the biggest teams of France such as G2 and Envy, and recently played with Vitality.
Under Vitality, which currently one of the best teams in the world, RpK hit both the top and the bottom of his career. Although not referred to as “the best” like in his Source days, he left a mark. Despite his poor performance, the professional player was awarded with “the most remarkable player in France” award.
CS:GO star RpK participated in 8 major tournaments before his retirement. He won 6 major tournaments and was placed in the HLTV summit for 10 weeks with Vitality.
