device Set to Return to Astralis

Nicolai “device” Reedtz will return to Astralis after spending a year and six months under Ninjas in Pyjamas. The move was reported by Jaxon, stating that the move is completed and will be announced soon.

The Danish AWPer left Astralis for Ninjas in Pyjamas in April 2021 for a record deal of $1 million, reportedly. Under the Swedish organization, he helped his team to qualify for Stockholm Major, but they were eliminated in quarterfinals. Following the major, the team failed to show good results. Following the bad performances, device announced that he went inactive in December 2021 due to mental health issues. He hasn’t played competitively since then, and eventually replaced by Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin.

device will rejoin his former teammates “Xyp9x” and “gla1ve” upon his return to Astralis, which he won four majors and many top-tier events with. He is expected to replace Asger “farlig” Jensen, who is the current AWPer of the team.

If the transfer is approved, the roster of Astralis will be:

  • Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander
  • Andreas “Xyp9x” Hojsleth
  • Benjamin “blameF” Bremer
  • Asger “farlig” Jensen
  • Nicolai “device” Reedtz
  • Mikkel “MistR” Thomsen (Stand-in)
  • Peter “casle” Toftbo Ardenskjold (Interim coach)
  • Martin “trace” Heldt (inactive)
