Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance Has a Release Date

Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance was announced back in 2019 and now we have a release date and some gameplay footage. The game will be released on June 22, 2021 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One and PC platforms. The game is a spiritual successor to Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance.

Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance is a co-op action RPG that has a heavy emphasis on combat. In the game, you will be battling the hordes of evil creatures who invaded Icewind Dale with the intention of getting the Crystal Shard. The game will have 30 different enemies types and each playable character will have 50 abilities. This might sound too much, however the developers are emphasizing that the combat will be a refined experience and that people who just button mash will do just fine.

How you want to progress in the game will be in your hands, so you will be able to choose the order in which you will complete the missions. The presence of hidden sections on the maps also encourages players to explore. Difficulty settings will also be available to get better loot at the end of the mission. If you are a fan of Vermintide games I suggest that you add this game to your list. It is not a big-budget AAA so keep your expectations at bay. It just has to be a good co-op action game with good gameplay and respectable game length to be good.
