ESL Gaming Announces Esport Monopoly Game!

ESL Gaming, one of the biggest tournament organizers in the esports scene, has announced the esports version of the popular board game Monopoly.

What is Monopoly?

It is a board game where real estate and land are bought, sold, rented. The aim is to survive as the richest player at the end of the game. In other words, it is a Real Estate Trading game.

In this new type called Esport Monopoly, players will buy big tournaments and try to dominate the esports community instead of buying properties like in the classic version.

Players will focus on purchasing major esports events and festivals. For example: the DreamHack Open, ESL Katowice, ESL Cologne, and the ESL Pro League Play-off. You will also be able to invest in leagues and sell tickets.

Esport Monopoly will offer players special pieces such as game controller, keyboard, headset, ESL logo, trophy and a chicken. Instead of classic Monopoly game parts such as shoes, ships, hats.  The chicken game piece is an easter egg for “Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner!” phrase which fans enjoy using.

The game is currently available in two languages. These languages are English and German. The board game can be purchased from the official ESL Gaming store.
