ESL has revealed new information about the upcoming ESL Impact League Season 4, a women’s Counter-Strike tournament.
The event will take place in Valencia, Spain, marking the second time the city has hosted the tournament within a two-year period. The league will kick off with an online phase from September 13 to October 29, followed by LAN finals at DreamHack Valencia, commencing on December 8.
A total of 28 teams from different regions will participate, competing for a $150,000 prize pool and the final ESL Impact trophy of the year. In the previous edition held in July 2022, Nigma Galaxy emerged as champions, defeating FURIA fe to secure one of the three LAN titles they claimed that year.
ESL has scheduled two sets of qualifiers, which will take place from August 18-20 and 25-27. However, specific details about the structure of the regional qualifiers and the number of directly invited teams have yet to be disclosed.
In Season 3, the format allowed the top three teams from Europe and two teams each from North and South America to qualify for the offline phase. An additional qualifier determined the eighth and final team for the Dallas event.
Nigma Galaxy currently holds an undefeated record in the ESL Impact circuit, having secured the most recent trophy at DreamHack Dallas by defeating NAVI Javelins. Led by Ana “ANa” Dumbravă, the team has not conceded a tournament and is currently on a winning streak of five titles, aiming to extend their remarkable record in Valencia.
