This year’s ESL PRO League Playoff Format Changed Before Season 14 Starts on August 16! Here is the new format for ESL Pro League!
The teams that won the groups according to the tournament format used to have a play-in fight among themselves before the playoffs. Thus, the winning teams would participate in the playoffs directly from the semi-finals, and the losing teams from the quarter-finals. However, with the new rule, teams will no longer participate play-in.
With the new format, the teams that win the groups will be included in the playoffs from the quarterfinals and will compete with the winning teams of the last 12. In the last 12, the 2nd and 3rd of the groups will compete and the winners will be the rivals of the group winners in the quarter-finals. After that, the tournament will continue in its normal flow (Semi-Finals – Grand Finals).
The first tournament in the new format, prepared with community feedback in mind, will start on August 16.
