ESL Pro League S14 had to turn into an online event due to Delta Variant, instead of a big LAN party at Malta. We previously shared the news on our website here. We didn’t know which teams would be there when they made the announcement. However, now with the new world rankings, the list is finally ready.
12 of the participants already consist of partner teams that do not change from season to season. In addition to these, there are 5 more teams picked from ESEA Premier. Entropiq and Sinners were eligible for this from the European region, TeamOne and Bad News Bears from the North American region, and Renegades from the Australia and New Zealand division.
Finally, the 7 participants we mentioned were included in this list. IEM Cologne quarter-finalists were the first of the 7 participants. This is how Gambit managed to reserve a place in the list. Then, Heroic, Virtus.pro, BIG and FURIA from the top 10 of the world rankings received tournament entries in this way. Spirit and OG, on the other hand, managed to snag the final 2 spots.
ESL Pro League S14 will take place between August 16 and September 12.
