Closed qualifying tournaments for EU Champions, an event hosted by Fantasyexpo and BLAST, will kick off on August 23. The winner of the main event will secure a spot in the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2021.
The EU Champions main stage will take place from September 7-9. Among the invited teams there will be one highly ranked team from Western Europe and two from Poland – Illuminar Gaming and MAD DOG’S PACT. The remaining five spots in the competition are reserved for teams from France, Great Britain and the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein), which will be selected through qualification.
Participants of the EU Champions main event, will be divided into two groups, with four teams in each group. The group stage will follow the GSL format with all best-of-one matches. The top two teams from each group will advance to the play-offs, which will be played using the single elimination bracket with BO3 matches. Winner of EU Champions will advance to the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2021.

France
● Invited teams: DBL Poney, LDLC OL
● Date: 27-28 August
Four teams will take part in the French qualifiers, of which two were invited by the organizers and the remaining two were selected through open qualification. Participants will face each other in a single elimination bracket and one best team will advance to the EU Champions.

Great Britain and Ireland
● Invited teams: Endpoint, Feenix
● Date: 28-29 August
The qualification format for UK&IR is identical to that for France. There will be four teams, of which two have been invited by the organizers and the remaining two were selected through open qualification. Participants will face each other in a single elimination bracket with one top team advancing to the EU Champions.

● Invited teams for the first phase: ex-PIXLIP, NLG, ttc
● Date: August 23-25
● Invited teams for the final phase: Sprout
● Finals Date: August 26-27
The qualifiers in the DACH region are the most extensive and have been divided into two phases. In the first phase, the invited teams will take their places in the semifinals, while two teams from the open qualifiers will play a match for the last available semifinal spot. By way of a double elimination bracket, three teams will be selected to join Sprout in the final phase of qualification. One team will advance to the EU Champions
