FaZe has risen to third place in the globe following a ranking update on March 14 by HLTV.org, marking the first time the team’s new core has achieved such heights. The multinational team was able to do this because of their unexpected victory at IEM Katowice 2022, when they defeated G2 in a nail-biting Grand Final.
FaZe has matched their best ranking since 2020, when the team still had NiKo, Marcelo “coldzera” David, and Aurimas “Bymas” Pipiras. Apart from that two-week stretch, the last time FaZe was in the top 3.ns was in 2018.
And G2 Esports were the ones to fall out of the top three after a two-week spell, as their second-place result in Poland was followed by a poor ESL Pro League campaign in which they only managed two victories.
