Fnatic, one of the best known esports organizations in the world, became the champion of the REPUBLEAGUE TIPOS Season 2. In the grand final, Fnatic won €60,000 by beating the Turkish representative Eternal Fire with a score of 2-1.
REPUBLEAGUE TIPOS Season 2 ran online from September 20 to November 20. 26 European teams competed for a prize pool of €100,000. Let’s take a look at the maps played in the Grand Finals!
The first match of the grand final was played on the map chosen by the Turkish team. Although Eternal Fire started by winning the first round, they lost 4 rounds in a row and the advantage passed to Fnatic. Eternal Fire finished the first half, which was very close, with a score of 8-7. With the great performance from Xantares, Eternal Fire finished the second half with a score of 16-13.

In the Inferno map chosen by Fnatic, Eternal Fire started on the defensive(Ct) side. Fnatic won the first half of the map, which they completely dominated, with a score of 14-1. Finishing the second half with a score of 16-2, Fnatic brought the score to 1-1 in the grand final. Eternal Fire couldn’t show any presence on this map.

The champion of the tournament was determined on Overpass. Fnatic, who did not give an opening to its opponent, won the first half with a score of 10-5. In the second half, Fnatic stood out with their regular and pressure based game and displayed a good defense, and won the map with a score of 16-7. Bringing the score to 2-1 in the grand final with this result, Fnatic became the champion of the REPUBLEAGUE TIPOS Season 2 tournament.
