Fnatic complete VALORANT roster with Alfajer and Enzo

Fnatic completed its VALORANT roster with the additions of Emir “Alfajer” Ali Beder and Enzo “Enzo” Mestari.

Fnatic’s 2022 season began promisingly, with the team going undefeated in their Challengers group thanks to newcomer braveaf. They earned their Masters spot in a nail-biting series against M3 Champions, and finished third in the playoffs.

Two Fnatic players were unable to compete at Masters Reykjavik: braveaf had been suspended by the organization previous to the competition, and Derke tested positive for COVID-19. Enzo and H1ber were called in to fill in for them. With their lineup down, Fnatic finished last after losing in two sweeps against Ninjas in Pyjamas and ZETA DIVISION. Following this dismal outcome, Fnatic benched MAGNUM and parted ways with braveaf in the off-season.

Enzo was a member of Alliance before filling in for Fnatic at Masters. Enzo led his team to the inaugural Masters tournament of 2021 as its longest-serving member and captain. Alliance failed to qualify for the EMEA Challengers in 2022, instead competing in the Northern regional league and finishing fourth.

Alfajer, unlike Enzo, has never competed in a VCT Challengers event. Surreal Esports, a mainstay of the Turkish tier 2 scene, was where he spent the most of his Valorant career. Surreal had their first major success by winning the Turkish regional league, and in the promotion playoffs, they fell just one match short of qualifying for Challengers Stage 2.

The new Fnatic VALORANT roster will make its debut this weekend, May 14, when the EMEA group stage begins.

Current Fnatic roster:

  •  Jake “Boaster” Howlett
  •  Nikita “Derke” Sirmitev
  •  James “Mistic” Orfila
  •  Emir “Alfajer” Ali Beder
  •  Enzo “Enzo” Mestari
  •  Tom “otom” Hart (Substitute)
