Fnatic Defeated BIG to Win Elisa Masters Espoo 2022

Fnatic defeated BIG with a score of 2-0 in the grand final and became Elisa Masters Espoo 2022 champions. Fnatic claimed the $100,000 prize with this victory and guaranteed a spot in IEM Katowice 2023 event, starting on January 31st.

Fnatic was missing Freddy ‘KRIMZ‘ Johansson from their main roster due to a hand injury and fielded Peppe ‘Peppzor‘ Borak from the academy team as a replacement for this tournament. With this victory, Fnatic won their first offline event after 3 years, and their first trophy since running with an international roster. Also, they managed to reach the top 10 in HLTV rankings after over a year.

In the grand final, William ‘mezii‘ Merriman was the top player for Fnatic in their crushing 2-0 victory against BIG, with 38-15 KD and a 1.61 rating.
