Fnatic’s Top Laner Adam Caught Covid-19

Fnatic announced that its young top laner Adam “Adam” Maanane has been diagnosed with covid-19. The coronavirus epidemic, has also greatly affected the esports scene as well. Measures were taken, such as the cancellation of major events and the playing of matches from home. Biggest fear behind these measures was that players or employees would contract the disease. Unfortunately, the fear has come true with these news.

Due to this misfortune, the Fnatic vs Team Vitality match, which will start on August 15 at 17:00 (CET), will be played from home, not from the stage. This same incident happened to Fnatic’s support player Zdravets “Hylissang” Iliev Galabov, who caught the coronavirus during the playoffs. It is really unfortunate that this happened twice for Fnatic, who has been in the esports community for a long time.

Other teams in the LEC, especially those who might face Fnatic in the playoffs, quickly sent their best wishes to Adam on social media.

The young player mentions that he is not showing any symptoms at the moment. He has met and even exceeded the high expectations of Fnatic this season. Adam, who won the EU Masters tournament with Karmine Corp last year, went to Fnatic and took the place of Bwipo, and Bwipo went to the jungle position. The team, which had a successful year with these changes, owes a significant part of this success to Adam.
