FURIA Announces chelo!

A 25-year-old player named Marcelo “chelo” Cespedes has joined FURIA’s team, alongside Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo.

The organization recently finalized their roster for the upcoming fall season by confirming the addition of FalleN and later revealing the complete roster through a leaked image displayed in an ad in New York’s Times Square.

chelo‘s arrival at FURIA comes after spending a year with Imperial, where he achieved an average rating of 1.09 on LAN (with a 1.16 impact). During his time with Imperial, he contributed to the team’s success in securing second place at ESL Challenger Melbourne, qualifying for the IEM Rio Major, and most recently reaching the semi-finals of the BLAST Spring Final.

With chelo‘s addition, FURIA‘s roster underwent a change, with André “drop” Abreu and Rafael “saffee” Costa being replaced by chelo and FalleN, respectively. This new Brazilian lineup will make their debut in the Play-in stage of IEM Cologne 2023, scheduled for July 26.

Here is the current roster of FURIA:

  • Andrei “arT” Piovezan
  • Yuri “yuurih” Santos
  • Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato
  • Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo
  • Marcelo “chelo” Cespedes
  • Nicholas “guerri” Nogueira (coach)
