G2 Esports Will Return With a New Roster!

G2 Esports founder and CEO Carlos “ocelote” Rodríguez Santiago announced that the organization’s LoL roster was disbanded.

G2, one of the biggest organizations in Europe, could not make it to the Worlds 2021. The G2 team had aimed for the Worlds championship from the very beginning. Despite all the big transfers made by the organization, they did not succeed in their objective.

G2 decided to hold a meeting in regards to this. They talked to the players, the team, and all the staff about the said issues. Carlos “ocelote” Rodríguez Santiago released a short announcement video.

The names that will leave the organization are as follows:

  • Martin “Wunder” Nordahl Hansen
  • Sng “Nelson” Yi-Wei
  • Martin “Rekkles” Larsson
  • Mihael “Mikyx” Mehle

G2 Esports has won one MSI tournament since its inception. They came very close to victory in the Worlds 2019 tournament, but in the final they lost to the Chinese FunPlus Phoenix team with a score of 3-0.

The new team is expected to be built around mid laner Caps and jungler Jankos. ocelote told the fans of the team to stay tuned for some big announcements.
