BIG has officially announced the return of legendary figure Fatih “gob b” Dayik as the coach of its academy roster. The 38-year-old veteran re-joins the organization after stepping down as the head coach of the main lineup in May 2024.
This move follows recent roster changes within BIG. David “prosus” Hesse was promoted to the main team, while Can “kyuubii” Ali was sent back to the academy roster.
gob b’s history with BIG goes back to 2017, when he first joined as a player. During his career, he represented the team at four Majors, reaching the playoffs at PGL Krakow 2017 and FACEIT Major 2018. After retiring in 2019, he transitioned to coaching the academy team before taking over as head coach of the main lineup in 2022. Under his leadership, BIG secured the Roobet Cup 2022 title and climbed to #7 in the world rankings. He also contributed to the organization’s success in VALORANT.
After leaving his position in mid-2024, gob b is now set to make his return to the Counter-Strike scene by leading BIG Academy once again.
