GTA V Cuts PS3 & Xbox 360 Online Support

Rockstar Games announced that they will no longer be able to provide GTA V ONLINE support to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 players. Upon hearing this news, players started a protest by canceling their Plus memberships.

Rockstar Games stated that they will cease support for the game’s online servers, on December 16. Many players attribute this to the upcoming release of GTA 6. Others say that it was just another ridiculous blow by Rockstar. Rockstar also stated that 2 more games will be unplugged. These games are L.A. Noire and Max Payne 3. Max Payne 3’s multiplayer mode will also be removed on September 16.

Cutting multiplayer support to older generation consoles is an industry standard, however, it is always sad when it happens. I do not think these cuts have anything to do with upcoming new game releases. You can find the official details regarding this news, here.
