Guild Esports Announced Its Apex Legends Team!

Guild Esports has announced the latest addition to its pro-gaming roster taking a huge stride into the growing world of Apex Legends esports with its first-ever team signing as it looks to cement its place as a top competitor in the scene.

The impressive new team is comprised of MaTaFe (SL), Silta (FI) and Horizxon (UK), who all join Guild to compete at the highest level in Apex Legends, and are set to benefit from the world class coaching and development set-up at the David Beckham co-owned esports organization.

From the beginning, our goal has always been to bring together the best and most entertaining esports players to build an organization that excites fans, attracts brands and provides teams with the opportunity to develop into champions. Our new Apex team incorporates this ambition entirely, allowing us to continue disrupting the industry with advancements into new tournaments and representing Europe as a true force in Apex Legends.

Kal Hourd, Chief Executive at Guild Esports

The team will represent Guild for the first-time in the Apex Legends Global Series, which kicks off on 16th October. The viewership for the Apex Legends Global Series has been increasing rapidly over the past year and the competition has consistently ranked in the top 5 most viewed on Twitch. Guild believes there is huge potential for the Apex Legends esports scene to continue to grow and develop, with these latest signings highlighting its ambitions to be a leader from the European region.

The team was launched through an announcement unveiling MaTaFe, who has a strong brand and following in the gaming space through his work as a content creator. MaTaFe’s iconic red bandana was a central part of the launch video, giving Guild a unique and natural way to introduce itself to his engaged fanbase.

I’ve been a big fan of what Guild has been doing in the industry for a long-time, so when I was given the opportunity to be part of its first-ever Apex Legends team it was a no brainer. Together with Silta and Horizxon, I’m excited to push the team to new heights and compete at the highest levels in the scene. With Guild’s unique training offerings such as the Guild Academy, I’m confident that the organization will only continue to get stronger and I’m looking forward to being a part of that journey.

MaTaFe

Guild Esports has been making major moves in developing their professional rosters since launching in June 2020 and secured eye-catching results in competitions including major trophies in the Fortnite Championship Series (FNCS) and Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS). It has created a blueprint for bringing exciting talent together with its best-in-class organization to propel teams up the rankings, including its all-female Valorant team, Guild X, which was announced last month.

The signing of the new Apex team is the latest development in an exciting year for Guild which has seen them sign major partnerships with Subway, Samsung and HyperX, as well as launching the Guild Academy, an online platform that gives personalized coaching plans to the esports stars of tomorrow. Guild has also launched an apparel line with a reinterpretation of Guild’s signature logo designed by Fergus Purcell — known for his work on Palace’s iconic Penrose logo.
