HObbit on joining Cloud9: “Getting into a foreign organization has always been my dream”

Cloud9’s Abay “HObbit” Khasenov commented on his decision to join the North American organization Cloud9, in his VK group. The Kazakhstani tweeted shortly after the announcement of his transfer to Cloud9, along with the whole Gambit Esports CS:GO lineup, that such a path to furthering his career had always been his ambition.

Getting into a foreign organization has always been my dream (like for any CIS player), feeling, experiencing this atmosphere from the inside. I hasten to tell you that this dream has come true and even more! One of the most famous and biggest organizations Cloud9, signed me and my best team, including our coach, leader, and just a good person, Konstantin! He contributed as much as possible to the best outcome, given recent events. At this difficult moment, we all know that only for the sake of us and our team, he left the leading position to stick together as a single harmonious organism. Can’t thank enough the Almighty for getting to meet this person! And also, many thanks to Gambit, this organization will always be in my heart, my first and my home! But it’s time to move on! Looking forward to the best!

HObbit also complimented his squad’s coach, Konstantin “groove” Pikiner, for resigning from his job as Gambit’s leader in order to work with the team and assist in the Cloud9 move.
