IEM Brazil 2023 Teams Announced!

The teams and qualifiers for IEM Brazil 2023, another event organized by ESL as part of the IEM Tour, have been announced.

After the IEM Rio Major attracted a large number of fans and was requested by everyone, IEM decided to hold another tournament in Brazil. Announcing IEM Brazil 2023 1 – 2 days after the Major tournament, ESL announced the teams invited to the tournament and the qualifiers.

ESL has announced the teams of IEM Brazil, which will be held after the BLAST.tv Paris Major RMR events on April 17 – 23, with a prize pool of $250,000.

Several teams; such as Natus Vincere, FaZe, and Vitality, received direct invitations to the tournament as part of the Partner Team, while four other teams were listed according to the ESL Global World Rankings.

  • FURIA – (Invited)

FURIA will be included in the tournament by winning invitations among the teams participating in the tournament to represent Brazil in their home country.


Announcing the IEM Brazil 2023 teams also announced the teams invited to the regional closed qualifiers. ENCE, BIG, Bad News Eagles, and Sprout were on the roster for Europe, while 00NATION and 9z received invites to the South American qualifiers. paiN rounded out the roster by being invited to the Asian qualifiers with Lynn Vision and IHC.

A total of 8 teams will play in Europe. With 4 teams determined, the remaining 4 teams will come from the Open Qualifiers. The European Qualifiers will be completed by taking 2 teams from the 1st Open Qualifier and 2 teams from the 2nd Open Qualifier.

In the Americas, there will be 2 Open Qualifiers, North and South, on each side. A total of 2 teams will come for North America and South America. One of them will come from the 1st Open Qualifier, while the other team will enter the tournament from the 2nd Open Qualifier.

On the Asian side, 3 teams were determined. IHC and Lynn Vision were invited to the tournament, while Eruption became the first team to emerge from the 1st Open. With the play of the 2nd Open Qualifier, the Asian group will be fully completed.
