G2’s newest young star Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov commented about his adaption process with the new squad at the IEM Katowice 2022 group stage participants’ press conference. In response to a query from a CSGO.ru journalist, he stated that regardless of mindset differences, all teammates offer the required assistance.
When I joined G2, I didn’t have any pressure from what people write in chat and comments. I don’t really read comments and I don’t advise others, because there are a lot of people who just write a lot. Players, those who read it, begin to worry. I don’t do that. The CIS and Europe have a different mentality, approach to training and everything else. In G2, every teammate supports me and helps with everything, so it’s easy for me.

m0NESY went on to say that because their cultures are so similar, he has built strong relationships with Bosnians Nikola “NiKo” Kovač and Nemanja “huNter-” Kovač.
Since they are also Slavs, we often have a good laugh about stuff. Some words in our languages are the same. I don’t know if it helps or not, but I feel comfortable.

Osipov also praised Audric “JACKZ” Jug, a Frenchman with whom he speaks more than the rest of his G2 teammates.
Most likely, yes, I talk with JACKZ the most. He is a very positive person both in life and in the game. On the server, he is serious. Everyone in the team is very kind and supports each other. It helps a lot.
