The League of Legends European Championship (LEC) will be played in front of a live audience for the first time in two years.
The LEC Spring Finals 2022 are still scheduled to take place at the LEC studio in Berlin, and a limited number of tickets are available for fans.
The finals, scheduled to take place in April 2022, will host attendees, but Riot Games has not disclosed how many people can actually attend the event. This is partly due to the COVID-19 restrictions and the size of the venue, which was designed as a broadcast studio with limited audience space.
The last face-to-face event for the LEC was the LEC summer finals, which took place in August and September of 2019. Since then, LEC games have been played either entirely online or at the aforementioned Berlin studio, which also hosts other League of Legends releases during the pandemic.
The LCS spring playoffs will also be played in front of a live audience. The playoffs will be held at LCS Studio in Santa Monica, California, and the grand final will take place at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.
All attendees who come to the event will be provided with food and drink along with the ticket, and the LEC noted that all regulations and rules regarding events may change given the evolution of COVID-19 protocols in Germany.
