Liquid‘s acquisition of Robert “Patsi” Isyanov from Spirit signifies the end of their North American majority.

Patsi, a Russian rifler, will be taking the place of Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski on Liquid’s active roster.

This move follows the recent signing of Aleks “Rainwaker” Petrov, solidifying Liquid’s transition to a predominantly European lineup. As a result, they will now have to qualify for the Major through the European RMR, while also relinquishing a Legends Stage spot from North America.

EliGE‘s departure from Liquid marks the conclusion of an impressive eight-year collaboration, making him the player with the longest tenure in a single organization. While his next move has not been officially announced, it has been reported that Complexity is the frontrunner to sign him.

Patsi‘s move to Liquid comes after spending over two years with Spirit. He initially joined their academy setup but earned a spot on the main team in November 2021. During his first full year, Patsi showcased strong performance with a 1.12 rating, attracting significant attention. However, his form declined significantly in 2023, with an average rating of 0.99 in the first six months of the year.

Patsi will likely be hoping that a change of environment will help him regain the exceptional form he displayed in 2022. His adaptation to Mareks “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis’ calling will be a crucial factor in his success with Liquid.

I’m really excited to play with this team and be part of an org that has so much history and achievements. I know I’m new to the team and taking the place of such a strong player, but I’ll do my best to prove to you that I deserve to be here.
