Locked and Loaded Can Be Permanent in Apex Legends

Respawn Entertainment‘s Apex Legends made a huge start with the eighth season. One of the reasons is the Anniversary Collection Event that celebrates the second year of the game. The event was so good that the developers extended the event. Besides the skins of the event, the takeover LTM, Locked and Loaded, is one of the best things about it. In this mode, all ground loots are high-tier loots. There are exceptions of course, like sights, syringes, and shield cells. But from casual players to streamers and professionals, the players loved this LTM. A Reddit user named blitz_na shared a post about why players loved it and made some suggestions to the devs.

It made the game feel much more full with the universally higher tier loot all around, made hot dropping allow everyone to have a fighting chance, and allowed just about any location to be viable for dropping due to immense amounts of loot. Although it made games burn faster, I believe that is a good thing because being well kitted for fights early on enables you to have much more lively games in comparison to before.

I understand the complaints of the Mozambiques, but I feel like if there is any gun for us to start with when we begin, it would be the Mozam. It is, at the bare minimum, as effective as it should be as a starter drop weapon. If push comes to shove, I am sure more people would appreciate starting with a P2020 over a Mozam, but I personally think the Mozam is far more appropriate and would be less annoying than a P2020.

Respawn, please take this into consideration. Your takeover events have been hit or miss, and this one has been a massive hit for the game’s general flow and playability.

In the comments section, other Reddit users told how much they loved Locked and Loaded. Some users said that they realized that the normal games without the LTM were harder, and some of them also shared some suggestions with the devs. And the users who commented that they didn’t love the mode were bombarded with downvotes.

In general, Locked and Loaded is an absolute banger, but it can also bring some problems with it. Because if it becomes permanent, the ultimate ability of Loba would stay in the background. Her black market is bringing every loot from a large area to her teammates. But when it’s become easy to find high-tier loots, the players won’t need it. Another problem is the ranked games. Ranked games without this takeover will be less fun than normal games. Also, when people get used to the takeover, they might not be concerned about the ranked games. Of course, the excitement of the ranked games cannot compare to the normal games, but when it’s about fun, the normal games will be one step ahead.
