NAVI and G2 Esports have agreed to the transfer of AWPer Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov, which was revealed on Twitter by the European club’s CEO Carlos “ocelote” Rodriguez. Although G2 has yet to comment on the remainder of the roster’s future, the Russian star is anticipated to replace François “AmaNEk” Delaunay, bringing the Frenchman’s three-year time with the squad to a close.
The acquisition of m0NESY comes as no surprise given multiple stories in the last month about the status of the huge move between NAVI and G2, who apparently couldn’t agree on the transfer of the AWPer.
G2 has also been connected to interest in Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen, according to other sources. After all, it looks like m0NESY‘s accession to the G2 camp ahead of the 2022 season may be the sole player change. But there have been no updates on the discussions over the Finnish in-game leader in almost two weeks. Following the departure of coach Damien “maLeK” Marcel to Evil Geniuses, G2 is anticipated to announce the acquisition of former Vitality coach Rémy “XTQZZZ” Quoniam.

The transfer fee of the young Russian’s was not disclosed by the parties. G2 reportedly paid $600,000 for m0NESY, according to Ratier. And also NAVI will be entitled to submit the first buyout offer if m0NESY decides to leave G2 or gets benched, according to the Ukrainian club.
