Twitch set a new record this week, thanks to the Spanish streamer TheGrefg. While he was watching the new premiere of Fortnite Icon Series, he had nearly 2.5 million concurrent viewers. Because of that, it’s not surprising to see him as the most-watched streamers of the week.
The Spanish streamer set the record on January 11. He streamed in Just Chatting, Fortnite, and Rust categories this week.
Last week, we said “If you can’t see xQc at the top of the most-watched channels list, you have to assume that there’s a special event going on that week, or there’s a trend toward something.“, and xQc kind of justified that by placing in the second spot of the most-watched streamers list. Canadian streamer continued to stream Rust, but he also played Super Mario Odyssey and Mario Kart 8.
AuronPlay has placed in the third spot this week, and just like the previous week he only streamed in Rust and Just Chatting categories.
Rubius is the third Spanish streamer on the most-watched streamers list. Moreover, we can see three Spanish on top four spot, so we can assume that Spanish-talking Twitch viewers were quite active this week. Rubius, again, streamed in Rust and Just Chatting categories this week, but he also played Chess for like an hour.
The League of Legends season have started this week in Korea, and Korean fans are showing great interest in one of the most competitive League of Legends tournaments. Riot Games’ Korean channel has placed in the fifth spot.
One of the most successful FPS players, Summit1g placed in the sixth spot this week by only streaming Escape From Tarkov.
LCS is the most anticipated League of Legends tournament among the viewers, and with the start of the season, the tournament’s official channel placed in the seventh spot.
HasanAbi mostly streams in Just Chatting category and talks about news and politics. But recently, he prefers to play Rust on the stream. He preferred to stream Rust mostly, but he gained much of the viewing stats by Just Chatting categories this week.
The LCK channel is streaming the LCK matches in English, and managed to place in the ninth spot. Both Korean and English LCK channels were watched for nearly 5 million hours this week. If they were streamed in only one channel, it would have placed on the third spot.
The German streamed entered the most-watched channels list this week by placing in the last spot. He mostly streamed in Rust, Just Chatting, and Pokémon categories this week.
