Netflix Officially Confirms Addition of Video Games to the Subscription Service

Netflix has confirmed the addition of video games during its latest earnings report.

The company has also confirmed that video games will be integrated into Netflix as if they were one more category. So that we can play interactive entertainment in a similar way to what happens on platforms such as Apple Arcade. Furthermore, there will be no additional subscription costs.

The company also indicated focus on the development of mobile games, stating “we will take our efforts starting from interactivity and games based on our own productions such as Stranger Things, although we are in the early stages of expansion.”

They have also stated that the games will be “like a new category of content, similar to the expansions of original films, animation, and unscripted television.” Netflix has lost nearly 400.000 subscribers because of TV Series that can not watch in North America. With this subscription, Netflix can re-earn its old subscribers.
