New AWP Player for Astralis: Lucky

New AWP Player for Astralis: Lucky! Denmark’s best CS:GO team Astralis transferred Lucky from Tricked to close the AWP gap. The 18-year-old young talent is expected to be an active part of the Astralis team.

Astralis, who managed to see the semi-finals at IEM Cologne 2021, formed a 6-man squad for the first time after transferring “dev1ce” to NiP. The fact that Bubzkji could not show the required performance started to push the Danish team to this transfer. Gla1ve is going to have a baby in the fall season. Therefore, in order to get prepared for the chance that he might lose his focus, they will definitely benefit from a 6 man squad.

Lucky has a chance to fight against dev1ce, one of the best AWP players in the world. Here is his statement:

“When Astralis comes knocking, everything changes. It’s without a doubt one of the most professional organizations and I already feel welcome and part of the family.

I know some people are going to compare me to ‘dev1ce’ but no one can do what he does. I hope I’ll be able to show who I am, though, and I will work hard to contribute to the team in my own way.”

Lucky

Lucky, the Danish top candidate for Astralis, impressed the lower-tier arenas with an average rating of 1.13/2.0 in 2021. Philip ‘Lucky‘ Ewald, who wants to continue this momentum, will have the chance to show himself for the first time in ESL Pro League S14 with Astralis.

Lucky hasn’t had a chance to show himself in a big tournament yet. That’s why I don’t think he can play full time in the ESL Pro League, which will be held in 20 days. However, the fact that he will be an indispensable member of the team in the future will provide us with the luxury of evaluating a new young talent.

Here is the announcement tweet:

The expiration of Magisk and Xyp9x’s contracts became the main issue for Astralis after the 6-man team was formed. The new roster of Astralis, which was formed before the contracts, to perform in ESL Pro League S14 and beyond, is as follows;

Andreas “Xyp9x” Højsleth
Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen
Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander
Emil “Magisk” Reif
Lucas “Bubzkji” Andersen
Philip “Lucky” Ewald

Danny “zonic” Sørensen (Coach)

Ertuğrul Ergül
