Dominating the finals, NIP became the champion of the IEM Fall 2021 European tournament.
Surprising the whole CS:GO world, Ninjas in Pyjamas managed to become the IEM Fall champion by eliminating their opponents one by one.
The final match was played between NIP and ENCE. The Swedish team NIP, which started the fight great, managed to take the lead on their own map. Then ENCE, managed to win on their own map of choice.
Afterwards, NIP dominated the maps twice in a row, bringing the series to 3-1. The champion Swedish team got the tournament prize of $27,500.
Nicolai ‘device‘ Reedtz, who played for the NIP team, became the MVP of IEM Fall 2021 Europe.
The other matches of the day were for 3rd, 5th and 7th place. Copenhagen Flames became the last team to get the major ticket beating Fiend. The last day’s results in IEM Fall 2021 Europe are as follows;
NIP | 3-1 | ENCE |
Vitality | 2-0 | Astralis |
Movistar Riders | 2-1 | G2 Esports |
Fiend | 0-2 | Copenhagen Flames |
Outside of the champion NIP, the most notable team was the Movistar Riders. The team guaranteed themselves a spot in PGL Major Stockholm 2021 after defeating G2 2-1 in the 5th place match. The Spanish team proved how ambitious they are for the major tournament.
After the IEM Fall, the teams will have a 2-week rest period. PGL Major Stockholm will be held in Stockholm, Sweden on October 26. The best teams of the year will compete in the tournament, which will be in LAN format. The tournament’s prize pool is exactly $2,000,000.
Favorite team of the tournament is NAVI, which has won most tournaments this year. However, the Russian team Gambit seems to be at least as favorite as NAVI. Also, if we take a look at the European scene, Vitality and NIP are pretty also strong.
