Oxxgen Esports Wins The Birds of Prey Tournament!

VALORANT has been the most popular game in the esports scene since its launch. The developer, Riot Games, proved their success with League of Legends. The company also fights with diversity in this industry. One of the latest examples of that is their women-only VALORANT tournament called Birds of Prey. The second Birds of Prey tournament has ended recently, and the all-female VALORANT roster of Oxygen Esports, Oxxgen Esports, left the tournament as championship.

Birds of Prey, organized by the esports organization The Goose House, took place on September 4-5 last week.

During the tournament most matches were in Bo3 format. There was also a single elimination group. In addition, the first 4 teams that managed to stay at the end of the tournament received a percentage from the prize pool.

Project X was the champion in the 1st episode. The team managed to reach the semi-finals in the 2nd episode. But Oxxgen Esports did not relent and came on top. You can see top four teams that managed to get awards in the table down below.

2nd$692£500 TENSTAR Nova
3rd-4th$346£250 Project X / Lux Nova

TENSTAR Nova and Oxxgen Esports were the two teams that made it to the finals. The owner of the tournament, The Goose House, announced the teams that made it to the finals on its official Twitter account.

Oxxgen Esports won the final series 2-0. TENSTAR Nova took the second place.

Looking at Episode 2 of Birds of Prey, we can clearly say that Oxxgen Esports has done a good job. Consisting of female players, Oxxgen managed to stand out from the teams that were constantly competing for the top rank.
