PGL Announces First CS2 Major!

The three Regional Major Ranking tournaments will take place consecutively between mid February and early March.

The three RMRs, which will operate as the Major qualifying tournaments, will go down one after the other. The largest of the RMR events, the European area, will begin on February 14 and go through February 24. The Asia RMR will take place from February 26–29, followed by the Americas RMR from March 1–4.

The Challengers Stage, which lasts for four days from March 17 to 20, and the Legends Stage, which lasts for four days from March 21 to 24, will then begin the Major itself. Then, from March 28 to March 31, the Champions Stage, or playoffs, will be held in front of a large audience at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark.

According to PGL, the tournament organizer charged by Valve with organizing the first Counter-Strike 2 Major, tickets for the $1,250,000 event will go on sale soon.
