  • Coaches, players and managers are not restricted on therir free time but may be subjected to penalties and/or disqualification if the person(s) is deemed to have endangered the tournament by putting others at risk.
  • Players, coaches and managers that show symptoms of COVID-19 and show positive test results may not be able to continue playing in the tournament and may be disqualified

PGL is doing its best to comply with Swedish health protocols. The fact that the tournament will be in front of a huge audience in Avicii Arena necessitates these rules.

What do players think about the PGL covid-19 rules?

Speaking to the media company Dexerto, the players stated that they found the announced rules illogical.

In many LAN tournaments held recently, we have encountered the precautions taken for COVID-19. Players want some similar precautions, but they find disqualification too strict.

Players stated that they want isolation for people who test positive. They said that if they test positive, they would like to be able to join from their hotel rooms, at least in the first phase of the event.

CS:GO fans have been waiting for 2 years for the Challengers Stage, which will start on October 26th. Despite everything, everyone is very excited about the tournament that will determine the best CS:GO team in the world.
