In order to compete in Rocket League, PSG Esports have formed a cooperation with British organization Tundra Esports.
PSG Esports, the arm of French football club Paris Saint-Germain, has return to the Rocket League arena after competing in Psyonix’s title between 2017 and 2019 for the last time. Just a few weeks after winning DreamHack Pro Circuit Valencia 2019 in August of that year, PSG Esports parted ways with the entire team while stating that they were “not done with Rocket League.”
In order to develop a highly engaged worldwide fanbase, the alliance will “leverage the PSG brand’s growing stature in gaming with the expertise of Tundra in esports performance and content creation.” The roster has not yet been decided, however the club will compete under the name ‘PSG Tundra’
According to PSG Chief Brand Officer Fabien Allègre, the cooperation with Tundra Esports adds another chapter to organization’s growth and brings the total number of teams in its portfolio to seven.
Tundra Esports, which is founded in 2019, are mostly known for their Dota 2 team who won The International in 2018. The UK-based team has previously participated in Rocket League, and its lineup was just revealed last month.
