Riot Games has announced that it will take a short break starting on 2nd of August. Riot took its first mid-year break in August last year. The company took the time to “disconnect and recharge” amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Accordingly, their success after their break came to the fore. For this reason, they seem to continue the tradition, starting from August 2, with a break for a week. The news was shared on Riot Games’ official Twitter account.
Riot’s mid-year holiday tradition provides them the opportunity to further thrive in the gaming industry. Indeed, in this process where they recharge themselves, the employees also return to work quite efficiently. It is a necessary effort that allows employees to relax and stay motivated during difficult times.
Some of Riot’s teams have adjusted themselves to ensure there are no interruptions. However, due to the break, the release dates and timelines of some patches have changed. For example, League of Legends Patch 11.16 will meet the players on August 11, three weeks after the previous patch.
