For the first time ever, Valorant became the most revenue-generating FPS game, surpassing the popular games Counter Strike: Global Offensive and Fortnite.
According to the information gathered by Superdata, from November to January, Valorant‘s revenue increased by 39% and player count increased by 29%.
To be honest, I’m not surprised about the news. With its low system requirements and simple game style, Valorant became popular super fast. However, do not be fooled by Valorant‘s simple game style. Many different agents offer different playstyles. You need to spend many hours to master the game itself.
Valorant‘s journey started quite well. But that doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy. Long battles await Valorant. Apart from CS:GO and Fortnite, Valorant shall compete with world-wide popular FPS games such as Apex Legends, PUBG and COD: Warzone. Then again, we might see a new leader in the FPS genre by the end of the year. Players, and me included, will be watching Valorant‘s career with great interest.
