Romanian professional VALORANT player Hamada ‘aeiden‘ Adnan insulted the founder of Turkish Republic, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk during a livestream of streamer named ThePrimerio.
Saying that he lost control of his anger, the Romanian player insulted ThePrimerio in his live stream while the match was going on.
aeiden, who insulted the national values of the player he was arguing with, apologized with a post in Turkish language.
In the post he said the following:
Well, pretty much everyone knows what I’m like and how I react, sometimes I’m totally crazy or sometimes I’m super quiet and calm. I’m not good with “ThePrimerio” but that doesn’t mean I have a problem with Turkish people or Turkish history.
I just said what I said because I lost control of my anger and said whatever came to my mind. I didn’t even realize for a second that I might hurt the rest of what I was about to say.
Even after saying what I said, I know I’ve upset someone and people didn’t expect that from me. I’m sorry if I offended anyone though, we Muslims don’t tolerate racism and I don’t like it either.
TheCady, who was involved in the event, also expressed his thoughts on the subject. Ertuğrul “TheCady” Koç, who plays in the Regnum Carya Esports team, stated that he will not play with aeiden again.
There was no explanation from Riot Games or VALORANT after the player’s racist behavior.
