Sinatraa May Return to VALORANT After 6 Months!

Jay “Sinatraa” Won, a VALORANT pro player, is free to officially return to the competitive scene after a 6 months suspension.

In March 2021, Jay “Sinatraa” Won, one of the biggest stars of VALORANT’s esports scene back then, got accused of sexual harassment by his ex-girlfriend, Cleo “cle0h” Hernandez. Won’s professional career quickly turned upside down after this sexual misconduct accusation.

Shortly after the harassment allegations, Won got suspended from all VALORANT competitions. TenZ joined Sentinels, as his replacement.

Hernandez decided to take things to court. She then filed a police report against the VALORANT star. At this time, both sides made accusations against each other for several weeks. But all came to a conclusion.

This eventually led to Sinatraa being suspended from the VALORANT professional scene for 6 months. However, this punishment ended in a few days ago, on September 10.

Sinatraa was released by the police in May following an investigation. Riot’s official decision on the Sinatraa case resulted in a 6-month ban (based on March 10, when he was originally suspended).

At the time, Riot ended their internal investigation due to the ongoing criminal investigation. However, they stated that there was a possibility to reopen the case if new incriminating evidence emerges.

The legal case is still ongoing. However, nothing significant has emerged in public since Sinatraa’s suspension. As such, Riot has decided not to prolong the case and lift the suspension.

Is Sinatraa going to return to the esports scene?

As of September 10, Won is free to compete in VALORANT esports if he wants to. That is if anyone still wants to hire him. Shortly before getting a suspension, Sinatraa said he “didn’t know” if he would return to VALORANT scene.

Sinatraa has yet to comment on the subject. However, he may soon share his thoughts. The Sentinels team also stayed silent on the matter. But there is little to no chance of Sinatraa returning to Sentinels, where TenZ has become the backbone of the team.
