Sony PlayStation Plus – Free Games For March

As always, Sony has announced the free games for the month of March we can achieve with our PlayStation Plus subscriptions. This month, 4 games will be free; one for PlayStation 5 and 3 for PlayStation 4. The games will be available for free on 2 March.

This subscription deals have been really nice to catch up on. With a reasonable price of $9.99 a month, we can play different games that worth at least the subscription fee itself. If we were to buy all these games for ourselves, the price difference would be huge. You can check out the official website for more information.

In order to access these games for free, you need to have a PlayStation Plus account. The image above shows current deals for US. Head to the official Sony website and change your region to see deals offered for you. Now, it is time to check out the free games of March with PS Plus.

Remnant: From the Ashes

The first one of the 4 free games for this month is Remnant: From the Ashes. You have probably heard of this game before since it is highly liked by critics and players. You can play the game for free, which is normally sold for $39.99. Even though the game’s plot is quite simple, the storytelling, mechanics and overall atmosphere of the game makes it really good. We recommend you not to miss this deal. The game is also available on Steam for PC.

So what is the mission in Remnant: From the Ashes and what will we be doing? The story of the game is quite simple, as I mentioned before; like any other post-apocalyptic games, there are few people on earth left alive, and we are one of them. The main goal is to fight against the monsters that are trying to destroy the world and to bring everything back to normal. We can say that it is a good shooter game with good mechanics. No matter how cliche the plot is, the overall aspects of the game make it nice. I can say that this is not a game that will bore you, and that you should check it out.

Final Fantasy VII Remake

With its normal price of $59.99, Final Fantasy VII Remake is another game we will be able to play for free in the month of March. Despite the deal being a steal, Final Fantasy VII Remake has really good comments from the critics and players ever since its release. If you are looking for different games than your regular taste, I recommend this RPG. You will be releasing the stress of the day with exciting scenes in the game.

The plot of the game is basically; escape from Midgar. If you have played the first version of the game, and since this is a remake, you might be familiar with it. We can say that the remake offers us a more detailed story of Final Fantasy VII. You should definitely give it a chance, you will not be sorry.

Farpoint (VR)

Now, as for the third free game of March with PlayStation Plus; Farpoint ($19.99). The adventure/shooter game was first released on 16 May 2017. This is a game that catches our attention with its good graphics. But, I should mention that this is a VR game, so you need to have Virtual Reality gear to play.

So, what is the story of Farpoint? Basically, the story begins after our character goes to the other end of the universe to investigate an abnormality. While trying to land safely on the planet, we fail and got stuck on this planet with enemy aliens. Even this short explanation is satisfactory enough to check it out. Do not miss it while it is free!

Maquette (PS5)

As for the last free game of March, Sony is giving Maquette ($19.99) for PlayStation Plus users. Developed by Graceful Decay, Maquette will have its first release on 2 March 2021. So, if you have PlayStation Plus, you get to try it for free for the first time. The game will be releasing for PS4 and PS5 as well as PC. You can get the game for PC from here.

Since it is not yet available, we haven’t got a lot of information. But, we can say that it is a repeating puzzle game. Firstly, the atmosphere of the game is stunning. With its first-person narration, everything in the game, from buildings to plants, is massive. This is a great option for younger players, however, it surely will not suite everyone.

You can play all these games for free with your PlayStation Plus account from 2 March to 1 April.
