Team Spirit Became The International 10 Champion!

One of Dota 2’s biggest events, The International 10 (TI10) Main Event has come to an end after a six-day marathon. At the end of this challenging event, Team Spirit became the TI10 champion. This championship was probably a big surprise even for Team Spirit itself.

Everyone was almost certain that the PSG.LGD, who came to the tournament with a great unbeaten streak, would win the championship.

In fact, the success of Team Spirit, who barely qualified from the CIS region and managed to enter the Upper Bracket, was a big surprise. On their first mistake, rivals Invictus Gaming sent them to the Lower Bracket.

However, Team Spirit beat rivals like Fnatic, Virtus.Pro and OG one by one. Despite the long and difficult Lower Bracket games, they managed to came on top.

Perhaps one of the most memorable moments of the tournament was when Team Spirit was asked about their most important strategy. Team’s coach Airat “Silent” Gaziev replied, “Luck, our best strategy is luck”. Indeed, luck must have been an important factor to achieve such a surprising result.

The champion roster of Team Spirit is as follows:

  • Alexander “TORONTOTOKYO” Khertek
  • Magomed “Collapse” Khalilov
