The Latest on the Paris Major 2023!

We have now reached the last days in BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023. With the last three matches to be played on May 16, the Legends stage will now end and the play-offs will begin.

Not only advancing to the Challengers Stage with a score of 3-0, but also Heroic made it to the play-offs again by making 3-0 without any troubles. Another team that advanced to the playoffs with a 3-0 score was Vitality. Vitality had advanced to the Legends stage by defeating first G2 and then Monte in RMR group B.

On the other hand Monte keeps surprising everyone. Monte beated FURIA and fnatic but then they lost against Vitality. To advance to the play-offs, Monte, defeated NAVI by 2-0. NAVI’s defeat was not expected for everyone. In the second map Nuke, which is acclaimed as NAVI’s home, Monte won with a score of 16-2. This huge difference made a big impact in social media.

Monte’s big win evoked the tense argument between Woro2k and s1mple in the minds:

Woro2k: 0 fun play with u after 1st map s1mple, it’s a shame to realize that the player you love the most, except for crying and telling someone something, did nothing himself.
s1mple: It’s all good, one day you will understand what team play in FPS games means and maybe u will start open your mouth and give info so other players will enjoy playing . Time passes quickly, start making progress
Woro2k: xD , u think if someone did mistake or mb communication in some sittuation wasnt good , its giving u space to talk shit or cry ? How much time u lose stupid rounds or situations in your career ? Its very fun to hear , i wish u to start making progress before Malta as well
s1mple: I think u stupid player, that’s what I think
Woro2k: Take away your Ego, because the time will come when I will destroy you in tournaments, yes, maybe not for the first time, but it will come)

Liquid, who had a difficult time at the Challengers stage, managed to put its name in the play-offs with a score of 3-1 this time. G2, who came out of the Challengers group with 3-0 and was shown as the favorite for the major, eliminated from the tournament by making 1-3. After losing 2 major finals, NiKo couldn’t win any major in his CS:GO career.

On the other hand, the Brazilian fans were very disappointed because of FURIA’s elimination from the tournament. FURIA, who lost matches to Monte, NiP and G2, had last placed third at IEM Rio 2022.

ENCE and 9INE bid farewell to the tournament, while FaZe and NAVI, who are among the favorites of the tournament, will play their last cards against each other to advance to the play-offs. Tuesday May 16th, the FaZe-NAVI match will be played at 12.30 pm. The other last chance matches will be the fnatic-Into the Breach and Ninjas in Pyjamas-Apex matches.
