The revenues of Twitch streamers, which were leaked in the past weeks, shocked the community. Streamers rejected the statistics, however, the official Twitch account later confirmed the leak. This caused a huge reaction in the Turkish community.

Now, there is a new list that shows Turkish esports personalities that are suspected of being in a Twitch Bit Scam. Some people that are on the list already admitted their guilt. However, some thought that the scheme was legal.

According to the leaked list, esports players who allegedly were part of the Bit Scam are as follows;

Fans of those mentioned on the list are waiting for an explanation. The first statement on the subject came from Orçun “farewell” Köroğlu, who played in the Lixa Esports team.

Orçun “farewell” Köroğlu admitted that he received an offer about 8-9 months ago. He stated that he thought they were not doing anything illegal and that he worked with them for 2-3 months, and he stopped communicating after learning the truth.

BBL Esports’ General Manager Özgür “root” Alagül stated during a live stream that they will investigate the situation:

It doesn’t matter if the players or streamers within our organization, if anyone is in it, we will investigate. If there is a really troublesome situation, the necessary will be done.

The player of the successful Turkish esports team Fire Flux Esports, lurzy0y0, said that he has not been streaming regularly for 1.5 years. Responding to the Tweet that came to him, the professional player also stated that he was faced with illegal bits every time he opened the stream.

In Forumtr, the list of streamers was shared with the evidence by the member named “polemiq31”.

What Is a Bit Scam?

Some scammers who steal credit cards reach out to Twitch streamers. They tell them that they will donate bits with a stolen credit card. The donation is made to the streamer, and then the Twitch streamer returns a certain portion of this money to the credit card thief. Thus, both parties make money.
