Twitch Streamer Pokimane Got Scammed!

Imane “Pokimane” Anys, one of the brand faces of the Twitch world, was defrauded for $24 thousand by a former content producer.

Anys shared the events with her followers during her broadcast. Expressing that she was very stupid, Pokimane explained all the details of the event. Describing the events during her Twitch broadcast on November 24, she did not share the name of the fraudster with her followers.

She stated that the swindler was extremely believable and professional. In addition, Pokimane said, “He was even more believable than the things I believed most in life until now.” Explaining that the swindler defrauded her even though she did not have any evidence, Pokimane said that the scammer promised to help her in publications and provide more income.

However, things did not turn out as the swindler described. During the elapsed time the swindler defrauded her for $24,000.

Pokimane only made about $200 in the time it took to accept the deal. The scammer appeared to be working with her at other publishers with many fake documents. This made it easier for her to believe these events. In a 3-month period, Pokimane lost 24 thousand dollars to the fraudster in total. She expressed her regret for her mistake.

In addition, Pokimane said that she will be more careful in her future commercial deals. She shared with her followers that the money she lost did not mean much to her. However, that her trust in people got damaged after this incident.
