Usain Bolt Joins Irish Esports Organization WYLDE as a Co-Owner

Irish esports organization WYLDE announced that global sports star and Olympic medalist Usain Bolt has joined as a Co-Owner.

Bolt, as part of the organization, will support the organization’s mission to identify, empower and support talent while embracing a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Additionally, as a co-owner and active member of the leadership team, Bolt will be involved in a range of activities focused on elevating the WYLDE brand.

Headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, WYLDE was founded two years ago by Steve Daly and David Cronin. In the past, Daly was an investment banker at JP Morgan. David Cronin was President and CEO of American Ireland Funds and a founding shareholder of Irish technology company QUAMAS.

WYLDE currently has teams competing in Rainbow Six Siege, VALORANT, Rocket League, and FIFA. In 2021, WYLDE established an academy to capture gaming talents by holding community tournaments. In partnership with Bolt, WYLDE plans to host a training camp in Jamaica in 2022.

According to the announcement, the organization is currently in sponsorship talks with a number of global brands focused on breaking into the esports industry.
