Richard “shox” Papillon is departing Team Vitality after two years, the team announced on Twitter. This follows claims that shox was in discussions to join Team Liquid and relocate to the United States. 29 years old is a veteran of the Counter-Strike scene who will be joining a new squad in 2022.
The news comes as no surprise, since shox, Jayson “Kyojin” Nguyen Van, and Rémy “XTQZZZ” Quoniam were initially rumored to be leaving Vitality in early November.
The French veteran has left Vitality, after a long career with the team in which he won a number of important tournaments, including EPICENTER 2019, IEM Beijing 2020 Europe, BLAST Premier Fall 2020, and IEM Winter 2021.

Shox has been in discussions to quit Team Vitality‘s CS:GO team in order to join Team Liquid, according to 1pv.fr. If this is real, it will be Shox‘s first time back in a NA organization in six years, when he was a member of Team Envy. Team Liquid is retooling their lineup for 2022, with Nicholas “nitr0” Cannella apparently returning to CS:GO from VALORANT to join Team Liquid. It’s now simply a question of time to see if this contract works out for these two players, or if they’ll pursue other opportunities.
