WePlay Announces Academy League With $100,000 Prize Pool!

WePlay Esports announced that they established WePlay Academy League, a CS:GO league where young teams will compete with each other!

The league will consist of two stages. The first stage will take place between 19 July and 8 August in the online part. In this section, each team will play against their opponents twice. These matches will be in Bo1 format. After these matches, the top 3 teams will go straight to the offline section, and the teams between the 4th and 7th places will compete in the Play-In among themselves. The team that wins the Play-In will be the last team to qualify for the offline part.

The offline part, which is the second stage, will take place in Kyiv, Ukraine between 27-29 August.  The four teams will play a qualifying round consisting of Upper and Lower Bracket. In the end, the champions of the lower and upper bracket, will meet in the Grand Final.

There are a few special rules for tournament, but the most important of one is the age rule. At least 4 of the 5 players of the teams participating in the tournament must be between the ages of 16 and 20.
